The Canine Carpenter began in 2024 with a simple problem: our own dog needed a dopamine box that actually fit him. Every option we tried was too small, slid across the floor, or fell apart because it was made from cardboard or fabric. Instead of helping his training, the equipment was holding him back.
So we built our own.
What started as a single handcrafted box quickly grew. Friends asked for their own custom dopamine boxes, and soon we were designing, testing, and refining new products to support a wider range of training needs. By the time we launched in 2025, our mission was clear: create dog training equipment that is functional, durable, and tailored—not “one size fits all.”
Today, we continue to handcraft every item ourselves, from selecting the wood to choosing paint colours that look beautiful while protecting your equipment for years of training.
The Hands Behind the Gear
Every product we make is shaped by skilled hands that understand both woodworking and canine behaviour. From selecting the timber to sanding each edge and choosing paint colours that protect as well as they impress, we craft every item ourselves. This isn’t mass production—it’s intentional, detail‑driven craftsmanship built to last through years of training.
Our work is personal. It’s rooted in our own journey, refined through collaboration with trainers and owners, and guided by the belief that dogs deserve equipment made with care, precision, and purpose.
Our Mission
We’re dedicated to supporting dogs and their owners throughout their training journeys by creating equipment that is practical, well‑fitting, and beautifully designed. Training equipment should make life easier—not harder—and every product we build is designed to help dogs feel focused, and confident.

Your dog isn’t standard—and their training equipment shouldn’t be either.
Our Impact
What began as a small idea to help a handful of dog owners has grown into a movement shaped by thousands of dogs, trainers, and owners. Our handcrafted equipment now supports dogs across the world.
Every item we craft carries the same intention we started with: to make training easier, more effective, and more enjoyable for both ends of the lead.
If it isn’t practical, durable, stylish and truly dog‑approved, it isn’t The Canine Carpenter.
